Digital Curriculum in Practice - A Loop Breakfast Event

POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19

Wellington Girls' College

Teachers in Loop schools are invited to come and hear about programmes and initiatives that are being implemented by colleagues in Wellington schools to support Digital Curriculum in Practice.  Hear about the approaches other schools are taking, talk about strategies that have made a difference, ask questions, discuss, learn from each other, and take away ideas to try in your own programmes.

At this session, we will hear from:

  • Katie Long, HOLA Technology, Hutt Valley High School
Katie will present an overview of how HVHS has integrated the new Digital Technology Progress Outcomes into its existing year 9 and 10 Technology programme.  She will also show the resources that have been developed to support assessing and reporting against the outcomes.

  • David Foulds, HOD Digital Information Technologies, Tawa College
David will provide an overview of how Tawa College has implemented the new Progress Outcomes, Designing and Developing Digital Outcomes, and Computational Thinking at Years 9 and 10.
  • Ben Britton, Wellington High School
Ben will talk about how the Digital Technology Curriculum carries on into the senior school at WHS through its array of digital tech courses.
